While these devices are built for student use, accidents like drops, spills, and cracked screens can still occur.<\/span><\/p>\n Families are financially responsible for the repair or replacement of school-issued devices if they are lost, stolen, or damaged while in a student\u2019s care.<\/span><\/p>\n What the Insurance Covers<\/b><\/p>\n To help reduce potential out-of-pocket costs, families have the option to purchase a device insurance plan through the Legacy Store.<\/span><\/p>\n What Happens If I Don\u2019t Purchase Insurance?<\/b><\/p>\n Families who choose not to purchase the insurance plan will be responsible for full replacement costs if the device is lost, stolen, or damaged.<\/span><\/p>\n If a replacement fee is required, payment can be made through the Legacy Store.<\/span><\/p>\n How to Purchase<\/b><\/p>\n Insurance can be purchased for the school year directly through the Legacy Store for just $25.<\/span><\/p>\n Once purchased, coverage applies to the current device and current academic year only.\u00a0 Coverage must be renewed annually and if the device is replaced within the same academic year.<\/p>\n All purchases of the Optional Laptop Insurance are final.
